Modern Slavery Statement 2021. Introduction. Slavery is illegal everywhere in the world, but despite that, there are currently an estimated 40.3 million people in modern slavery or victims of human trafficking across the globe. Out of the millions of people trapped in modern slavery, 16 million people are exploited by the private sector, so it is paramount that businesses take action to end these abhorrent practices. At Rope Access, Rigging & Rescue Ltd (RARR Ltd), we are committed to playing our role in eradicating modern slavery in all of its forms from our business and supply chain. We are taking the appropriate steps to ensure that everyone who works with RARR Ltd benefits from a working environment in which their fundamental human rights are respected and anyone that we do business with also upholds these principles. The information following this introduction will detail our policies, processes and actions we have taken to ensure that slavery and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or any part of RARR’s own business. This is our Modern Slavery statement for the financial year ended 31 December 2020 required under the provisions of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”).

Our Business. RARR Ltd is a provider of Rope Access, Rigging and Rescue services. We deliver innovative solutions, to a varying range of clients from sole traders to large international companies. RARR Ltd was formed in 2014 by James Arscott, the company is based in Cornwall, and serves the entire South of England and Wales, we specialise in Rope Access in all industries. Rigging for Theatre & Circus and Rescue cover for confined spaces and film and TV applications. RARR is focused on being purpose-led, this is term that has been popping up a lot more recently. It’s a concept which is rapidly growing in popularity and is focused on ensuring that an organisation stands for something it believes in, at RARR we believe in;

Clients/Customers – by delivering innovative solutions and fulfilling their requirements safely and professionally.

Our policies on slavery and human trafficking. Rope Access, Rigging & Rescue Ltd is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business. RARR have reviewed our workplace policies and procedures to assess their effectiveness in identifying and tackling modern slavery issues.
Being a responsible employer.

To ensure that we recruit and treat employees/sub-contractors fairly, eliminating modern slavery at all costs.

Recruit and select employees/sub-contractors in a fair, lawful and professional manner.

Treat all employees/sub-contractors fairly during their employment and, if there is an occasion when an employee does not feel that they have been treated fairly, deal with this in a suitable, understanding and legal manner.

Manage the exit of an employee from the business in a fair and consistent manner
Listening. We listen to our employees, subcontractors, clients, customers and members of the public, to gain feedback and insightful knowledge to further our constant progression of RARR’s core values and understanding of people.

Due diligence. We expect both RARR Ltd and our suppliers to comply with all applicable local laws and regulations providing safe working conditions, treating workers with dignity and respect, acting fairly and ethically and using environmentally responsible practices where practicable.
